The Body In Question Physiology class recently dissected a chicken wing. Students put theory into practice by not only observing how to dissect a chicken wing on YouTube, but actually doing it for themselves. We found out about the movement of the wing, and how it compares to human arm movement. We looked at muscle pairs and groups, joint actions, muscle, tendon, ligament and bone structure. WHS was a large focus of the practical but all agreed that it was well worth doing and they discovered and confirmed a lot of ideas and concepts. Stay tuned for the new dissection next week!
