26 of our Year 12 students from ASMS began their University Extension studies this week at Flinders University across a broad range of subject options. These students have chosen to use an early University experience to contribute to their SACE completion. An orientation celebration was recently held for the students and their families with a festive lunch at Flinders University including informative pop-up sites.
University Extension Studies is an enrichment educational opportunity that exists between Flinders University and the ASMS for high-achieving senior secondary students through an application process and ASMS recommendation and approval. Students that undertake UES will be credited with 10 credits per semester complete at Stage 2 that will count towards SACE completion. The list of subjects available is extensive.
Our current Year 11 cohort will be hearing first-hand accounts from our UES students later in the year as part of an informative presentation which will guide them with their Year 12 subject choices and pathways.
