What are ‘STEM Spaces’ you ask?  This is a Professional Learning program designed by ASMS staff to support teams of teachers to develop and implement STEM programs for their schools – this includes program design, pedagogies, technology, interdisciplinary curriculum, assessment… you name it!  So far in 2017 we have had participants from 15 schools all over the state beginning work on exciting plans that they will run at their schools. Teachers are using design thinking to modify their student learning experiences through empathy and meeting the needs of their partners. One of our Whyalla teachers ended the session with, “Happily ever after… with STEM.”  We look forward to helping many teams of teachers to effect positive changes in their schools, from early years to senior secondary years – STEM for all students.
