A range of competitions and outreach opportunities have been offered again to students via portal bulletins, Adventure Space and Learner Agency during Learning Studies this term.

Events that have been hugely successful include; Science Alive, The United Nations SA Conference, The Medical Mystery at Flinders University, Space Industry Pilot Work Experience Program, Poverty Summit and the Science Olympiad Competitions. Upcoming opportunities include the YMCA SA Youth Parliament as well as an emerging partnership with SA libraries. I look forward to seeing all of these events progress!

Students interested in these extracurricular experiences or others they may have heard of should come and speak to myself if they would like to find out more.

As a school, we have participated in so many sporting competitions over the last term! The Term 2/3 After School Netball competition finished last week, we entered two teams this year, who also had the opportunity to play a competitive game at school, in front of their peers.

Due to the high interest in sport, we also registered competitive Knockout teams for; girls netball, boys basketball, boys and girls volleyball, and a boys outdoor soccer team. Another highlight was sending an ASMS team to compete at the 6-hour pedal prix race at Victoria park, where we finished 35th out of 170+ teams. We also look forward to sending an AFL girls team to compete in a competition later this term!

A big thankyou and congratulations to all involved,

Alex Rendoulis, Sports Coordinator
