It’s been a huge term for sport at the ASMS! Our students have represented the school across a wide world of sports, most recently at the State Track & Field Championships, where they had successful results and a great day out.

Additionally, we had students compete in Swimming at the State Aquatic Centre, four teams at a 3×3 Basketball carnival at Springbank College, a Surfing comp down on the South Coast , a Tennis carnival at Peake Riverside and a weekly zone Futsal competition. Students will present a wrap up of their competitions at assembly in Week 11 and share their experiences.

Lunch sport has also been popular with students this term, with basketball, tennis, soccer, ultimate frisbee, badminton and volleyball taking place across the term, as well as the occasional staff v student contests which tend to draw a crowd!

It won’t be slowing down in the winter season, with nominations opening in Term 2, Week 1 for several sports and sporting opportunities, as well as lunch sport, MMM and running club continuing on.

Special thanks to the teaching and support staff who have made all these events possible throughout the term and beyond.
