Student Earth Summit – Personalizing and Connecting Learning

8:30 – 15:00, 11 November 2013.

At the ASMS students are regularly expected to display their knowledge in meaningful and challenging contexts, the clear aim being increase student direction and ownership of learning. One example of this is the “Earth Summit” which requires students to participate in a role play simulating the processes delegates go through to decide on global issues. This Exploring Innovation school visit will provide participants with the opportunity to talk with students about how they are self-directing their learning and to hear about the learning designed to link to the Australian Curriculum and SACE assessment standards.
