Our plant babies are growing!  Students have designed experiments that involve a variety of soils, seed-types and several concentrations of Gibberellic Acid.

We are about to find out if this plant growth factor affects seed germination speed, or stem-length growth.  The Communication Systems central study is delving deeply into the world of hormones, drugs, molecules and the organic chemistry that governs cellular activity.  So far the radish seeds are responding the best and the spring onions have been quite stubborn!  Looking forward to see how our Year 10’s and 11’s interpret and discuss their results from these experiments…
