On Tuesday 5 March, a group of ASMS parents designed and led a workshop for nearly 40 other parents titled ‘You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know’. Each of the five presenters shared parts of their personal stories as parents of students at the ASMS, demystifying some of the terms used (for example, what do we mean by Interdisciplinary curriculum?) and reassuring them that their child will become a much more rounded, developed young adult after their journey through our school. The parents who attended reported that they found the information and format very helpful and would love some more of this type of session to be available. Look out for our next parent led session in term 2. The focus for this session is What Matters More – Learning or Achievement?
