This morning the year 12 Health Sciences class visited the Paramedics Shed at Flinders University. They were guided through their class issues investigation by Paramedics Tutor, Jordan Smith. Students engaged in a range of scenarios and were challenged about preconceived ideas about treating people without fear of favour, being a great communicator and treating patients and how Paramedics look after both their patients and themselves. This “real life” example made exposure to these issues more real and believable. Thank you to Jordan and the staff at the Paramedics Shed for their time and expertise.
