This ASMS building is cool and all, but sometimes we just need a breath of fresh air outside!  In partnership with Flinders University, a Community Garden was established in 2005.  “It’s an amazing haven where students can go and be active outdoors” says James Tilly (one of our awesome teachers).  “It’s a chance to interact with nature, learn about organic gardening and permaculture.” Each week as part of Adventure Space, a small cohort of students come together in the garden to renovate, weed, plant veggies, build a tire wall for a new garden bed, and even paint/decorate.  We are currently creating an Alice in Wonderland theme, complete with a Mad Hatter tea party area. The goal is to plant tea, so that we can implement a “clip & sip” model.  The area is also used on Wednesdays during our MMM (mindfulness, music, movement) session and students come out to either be active, reflective, mindful, or artistic…
