Welcome to Term 4, as always, a busy term for our students and staff. Our Year 12’s are finishing their secondary schooling, celebrating their time at ASMS with a final assembly and a farewell breakfast. Our year 10 & 11’s are well into their learning in Central Studies with Engineering a Monster gearing up for the FrankenFest where they show their engineering feats. I can’t wait to see the amazing ideas our students have brought to life! Student Inquiry Project has our students working on their final outcome with amazing research findings coming together. Learning Studies program is focused on supporting our students to look after themselves with the Child Protection Curriculum in full swing and an exciting Real Day Out coming up later this term. So, lots happening!!

This week we celebrate World Teachers Day, and at the ASMS we will also celebrate the wonderful work of our school support staff. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the highly professional level at which all of our staff work and their commitment to ensuring our students are supported to do their very best.

I’m on leave for a few weeks so will miss some of this activity, Glenys Thompson will be acting Principal during my absence. I look forward to seeing many of you at our Presentation Night on November 27.
