The library welcomes staff and students in 2021. We hope that you will take advantage of the wonderful ASMS Collection for research and reading for pleasure. Remember you also have access to most of the Flinders University Libraries collections at Sturt Library and Central Library. For the moment anything currently available at the other libraries must be collected from those libraries – we hope that in time we will again be able to offer the Pick-from-shelf and Hold options.
Some of you have already visited the newly renovated library this year, but for those of you who have not a few things have changed. Our main entrance has moved. Cross the bridge into the Sturt Buildings, turn right and then left down the first corridor. Turn left again and take the first staircase up to level three, then turn left again and travel along the corridor to our new entrance, also on your left. Between 8.00am – 5.00pm weekdays the doors will auto open (except some public holidays) and Sturt staff will be available between 9.00am – 5.00pm weekdays.
Level three of the library is now a student study zone with various options for individuals or groups to study. Only ASMS Magazines and Displays are on this level.
All other items in our collection and Sturts are now on level two. Take the internal stairs down to level two to find the ASMS Collection on your left (look for the brightly coloured bay ends). This level is a QUIET zone for serious study, so please be considerate when downstairs.
When borrowing items there are now two self-checks for you to use and these are located inside the new entry area. REMEMBER YOUR ID Card. ASMS Text Books can now be borrowed at the self-checks.
