Today was a busy day for our student groups, as they participated in their final challenge-based learning sessions before tomorrow’s presentation!

The end of the day also included a scientific poster exhibition, including subjects such as elevation experiments , the benefits of utilising spider’s silk, testing kits for determining whether formaldehyde (a toxic material) is present in foods, dye sensitised solar cells, the transfer of bioluminescent proteins between species, tsunami resistant building structures,¬†and many, many more! Students, staff, and public visitors were welcome to ask questions of the students responsible for these investigations, which followed the fair’s theme of ‘Shining a Light on a Sustainable Future’.
