Our principal Jayne Heath is currently in Chicago at the International Student Science Fair (ISSF), along with teacher Kay Gillett and students Constance, Ngan and Julia. The ISSF is one of seven study tours and overseas exchange opportunities that our students will engage with this year. The ISSF is an important study tour, and 200 students from around the world have been undertaking challenges based on Clean Water, Zero Hunger and Affordable and Clean Energy. Our students have undertaken independent research and by the time you read this, will have presented their findings at both a seminar and a poster presentation. We’re confident our students will represent themselves, our school and their country proudly.
At school, we are starting to get organised for our very own International Science Fair from 4-7 September. We will be joined by students and teachers from five international and two South Australian schools for a week of intensive Challenge based learning with the theme ‘Save the World’. Students have nominated for their preferred challenge and more information will be provided next term.

Information about our 2019 study tours and exchange opportunities will be provided at the end of term 3; if you have any questions beforehand, don’t hesitate to contact our International Manager Julie Cassidy julie.cassidy@asms.sa.edu.au.
