The Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS was established as a government school for South Australian students in years 10, 11 and 12. Most students make the transition to the ASMS from another secondary school at the end of year 9.

The ASMS is a specialist secondary school operating in partnership with Flinders University. We offer a comprehensive curriculum with a special focus on 21st century science and mathematics. Students can be engaged in learning 'leading edge' science, facilitated through interaction with science research staff and the facilities of the university.

Students who select the ASMS for year 10, 11 and 12 do so because of their interest and passion for the world of science and mathematics. Most will have apsirations to develop as a self-directed learner and future study or career pathways in the broad fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
