Are we responsible for the creations we engineer? This is a big conversation across the world currently. In Engineering a Monster, we traced it all the way back to Mary Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein, which discusses this topic from another perspective. Students then went on to create their own inventions and model creations.

Year 11 student, Anthony, was inspired to create a fully 3D-printed, semi-functional prosthetic hand! “The hand is one of the more complex parts of the human body and I thought (recreating) it would be a challenge”, Anthony says. Anthony hopes to be able to implement his skills in the future to give back and help the community.
