Formal lessons will finish at 12:50 on Friday 15th August so that all the students can attend the Flinders University Open Day. This is an important date in our school calendar because it allows students to investigate possible career pathways.
Depending on the year level of your child, they will be able to collect information/evidence for:
Year 12s – Tertiary institution applications
Year 11s – Year 12 subject selection
Year 10s – PLP – Future Learning and Careers – collect evidence for this PLP task
Year 12s wishing to attend sessions earlier in the day can, but need to negotiate this with their Tutor and class teacher.
Year 10 and 11 students – they need to have a plan that they have discussed with their Tutor. Finishing at 12:50 gives them time to get to the 1:00 sessions.
If students do not wish to attend, they may stay at school and work – for example, work on their SIP/RP, Earth and Cosmos Stellarium Practical Investigation…
You may wish to attend a session with your child, so please discuss the program (link above) with them. The University Open Days are Friday and Saturday.
