Open Night or Open Day
The ASMS Open Night or Open Day is an opportunity for you to see how our school works, talk with students and teachers and observe the mature, university-like environment where our students thrive. Registration for attending an open night is not necessary.
Dates for 2020 are:
- Open Night from 6.00 pm, Thursday 30 April
- Open Day 9.00 am-11.00 am or 1.00 pm-3.00 pm, Wednesday 29 July
Registration of Interest
(Students in Years 7 & 8)
If your child is in year 7 or 8 and has an interest in enrolling at the ASMS for year 10 and you’d like to hear from us, please complete a registration of interest form.
This will ensure you are provided with further information about the school’s programs when your child is in years 8 and 9.
(Students in Year 9 and above)
Application for enrolment at the school can be made at any time during the year. Application forms are available from the school or from the website. Each application will be assessed against the following selection criteria.
- Interest in pursuing pathways based on science and mathematics;
Interest and aptitude or potential in science, mathematics and related technologies;
- Evidence of ability to engage with the innovative teaching and learning environment of ASMS.
Applications will be assessed in June, September and November. Following this assessment applicants may be offered direct enrolment, an interview to seek further information and clarification, or a position on the waiting list.
All applicants will be sent written notification of the outcome of the process. A transition and information day is held in term 4 for prospective students.
Materials & Services Charges
The ASMS is a government school within the Department for Education. Fees for 2020 are $915 which includes the standard fee of $318 and an additional fee of $597.
As the school conducted a polling process in accordance with departmental guidelines the total fee is recoverable. Students who are eligible for school card will be credited with $318 for 2020 with the balance being a voluntary payment.
School card application information is available on the sa.gov.au website. Student invoices with details of the composition of the Materials and Services Charge are issued at the beginning of each year.
Payments to the ASMS can be made in person, by mail, by phone, or direct deposit.

Payment by Instalment
Payments of Materials and Services Charges by instalments are available. Payment plans will be arranged using our Direct Debit by Instalment facility with the Westpac bank. Please contact the school for further information.
