In Engineering a Monster, the Year 10 / 11 cohort have finished term 4 by evaluating their engineering projects and learning about the monsters of World War II.
This week, we hosted a unique event at the ASMS – FrankenFest! This event showcased the skills and diversity of student work as they drew many authentic connections between the disciplines of Science, History, Maths and English. Parents, visitors from local schools and our new Transition Day cohort gathered to interact with many exciting displays of student learning. Some of the amazing displays included Frankenstein-themed games, software engineering demonstrations, cupcake-box optimisation quizzes, and even a World War 2 themed escape room. This list barely scratches the surface of cool connections being made in the EaM learning program.
