Year 10, Josiah describes the doodles on the desk before him:

“This one on the top is a fractal pattern where a shape repeats itself and can be zoomed into infinity. The bottom drawing is just an overlapping of sine and cosine waves, which makes it look like a braid.  On my right is a visual representation of the Fibonacci sequence which is a pattern found in nature that describes plants or animals that have spiral patterns. It follows the number order of 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34…

I find math and physics really interesting because they can be reduced to something quite simple and sometimes beautiful.”
