On Friday 23 August 130 people gathered to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the ASMS. Past and present students, staff, parents, Flinders University staff and other associates attended. The guests included the Honourable Jennifer Rankine Minister for Education and Child Development, Mr Gino de Gennaro Deputy Chief Executive of the Department for Education and Child Development, Professor Andrew Parkin Acting Vice Chancellor of Flinders University and Mr David Speirs the Deputy Mayor of Marion.

Lyndall Bain and Jim Davies, both past principals, shared recollections of their time at the school. Annelise and Ashlyn Johnson spoke about their memories and how their time at the ASMS influenced their current directions. Video presentations from Professor Michael Barber, Vice Chancellor of Flinders University and Mr Hiroshi Tanaka, Principal of Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School in Japan reflected the partnerships that have been built with organisations and schools around the world.

Perhaps the best part of the evening was watching people interact with old and new friends. Lots of smiles, laughter and hugs were evidence of how much people enjoyed the evening.

Without these people, and many others who were unable to attend, the ASMS would not have achieved everything it has in the last 10 years. Thank you.
