The annual ASMS Activities Day is on Tuesday 13 February.

The focus of the day is on participation in a range of activities while developing relationships amongst the students and staff. This is a day for all students to get involved and will also serve as a selection process for students interested in being a part of the ASMS Athletics team.

The 2018 Activities Day will involve a mix of track and field competition, Learning Studies group games and novelty events. The program will include:
• 1500m (8 Feb, 8am) and Marathon -5km (6 Feb, 7.30am) running races
• 100m, 200m, 400m
• Long jump, Triple jump, High jump, and Vortex Throw
• Novelty Events: Sack race, Three legged race, Tug o’ war, and Noodle relay
• Learning Studies Group Events: Volleyball, Petanque, Ultimate Frisbee and Soccer

Students will compete as both a Learning Studies group and individually. It is compulsory for all students to attend and to nominate for some of the events.

The day will begin with Learning Studies at the ASMS at 8:40am and students can expect that we will finish at 3:20. A free BBQ Lunch will be provided to all students.

We will be on the Flinders University Main Oval, away from the ASMS building (students will be unable to access the building for the duration of the day) so we urge students to come equipped with snacks, drinks, sunscreen, hat and appropriate clothing. We will, of course, provide shelters, toilets and change-rooms, first aid, bulk sunscreen and drinking water.

There will be an opportunity to purchase soft drinks and small snacks provided by the Service Club, money raised will help support charities supported by the school.

Parents are cordially invited to attend for all or part of the day either as spectators or officials. Please let us know if you are able to help.
