The workshop held at the ASMS on Wednesday 2 April provided advice related to applications for involvement in the future SACE program.

Coordinated by Flinders Centre for Science Education in the 21st Century and the ASMS this program will provide invaluable insight into the development of the future SACE.

Several schools participated through the Centra link made available as a public event.  The workshop was recorded and details of how to access this will be available soon.

As the co-ordinators of the Westfield Science Scholarships in South Australia the ASMS works with scholarship holders to share their learning with other educators.

This year's winners are:

Paul Thurlow of Open Access College with his project to enhance the delivery in on-line mode of Stage 2 Mathematical Methods using Centra software which allows for whiteboard, chat, application sharing, voice over the internet protocol (VOIP) and other online teaching and learning facilities.

Kristin Smith of Open Access College, Katrina Elliott of Mitcham Girls High School, Feona Crawford of Unley High School and Jim Jackaman of Nuriootpa High School with their project to develop a series of presentations from a teacher's perspective showcasing how neuroscience can have a positive and profound impact on students and their learning and wellbeing. 

Thangaes Waran of Valley View High School with his project to explore the ways of integrating web2.0 technologies in the teaching of mathematics and science.
