The Youth Camp was held at ICU (Information and Communications University), Daejeon, Republic of Korea from 28 July to 1 August.
Under the theme of "For the Future World IT Leaders", the Youth Camp invited 65 Korean students and 15 international students, and provided a unique opportunity for the students to examine the current issues in the IT field through lectures, group discussions, visiting industrial sites and cultural exchange programs.
The goal of this camp is to provide a learning environment for high school students who show high promise in IT. This program offers an opportunity for very talented high school students to meet and work with peers who have the same interests in IT.
Two ASMS students, Finn Stokes and Saxon Douglass, were selected to attend the camp. Saxon and Finn, as part of the activities, became leaders of their own teams to complete three different challenge missions. Saxon's team came first in Mission 2 and Finn's team came first in Mission 3.
Please see the current ASMS newsletter for the full report on their time at the camp.
